SELECTION COMMITTEES

Janine Manning

Raised in Toronto by two Indigenous parents from Chippewas of Nawash and Chippewas of Kettle and Stony Point, Janine is an urban Indigenous individual who broke the cycle of poverty through education. Overcoming addiction and adversity, she pursued university as a mature student, graduating with honors at 33. She is passionate about supporting Indigenous youth and organizations. Relocating to Owen Sound in my traditional territory, I aim to advocate for wealth redistribution in philanthropy and champion Indigenous abundance.
