Jason Badal is Head of Canada for Disney+, the global streaming service owned by The Walt Disney Company, where he leads the businessand its growth. Prior to Disney, Jason was the global head of multinational merchants at Shopify, bringing adoption of ecommerce to the largest and most complex companies in the world. Jason has ledbusiness affairs at Rogers Media and Sportsnet, Canada's #1 sports network, Score Media, and has practiced as a technology/corporate lawyer at McCarthy Tetrault LLP while teaching at Toronto MetropolitanUniversity and Osgoode Hall Law School.Jason is a former Director of the Canada Media Fund, and an angel investor and advisor to a number of startups in the sports, technology and direct to consumer commerce industries.
